Before founding AHL-TECH, Mr. Mack spent almost 25 years as an entrepreneur in the computer software field, where he was co-founder of a software company that designs and develops integrated software systems for the telecommunications and healthcare industries. During that time Mr. Mack was also closely followed trends in the railroad industry, particularly in regard to locomotive technology. Combining his locomotive knowledge with his support of renewable biofuels, in late 2005 Mr. Mack founded Alternative Hybrid Locomotive Technologies (AHL-TECH).
Mr. Peeples has been an active participant in the development of the expanding U.S. renewable fuels industry since 1983. As a legal analyst, economist, journalist and consultant to the biofuels industries (and related additive manufacturers), Mr. Peeples has been instrumental in the drafting of federal and state biofuels legislation, a material contributor to the rulemaking process which necessarily follows such legislation, and is an authority on the interpretation of laws and regulations governing the commercialization of alternative and cleaner-burning transportation and engine fuels.
Mr. Goding is a 35 year locomotive design and manufacturing veteran, having spent most of his career working for the Electro-Motive Division of General Motors (EMD). EMD is the second largest producer of locomotives in North America (following General Electric) and developed the first commercially successful diesel “road” locomotives in the early 1940’s. Mr. Goding has held the position of Staff Engineer, Staff Project Engineer, Senior Project Engineer, and Supervisor at EMD. He was responsible for the development of EMD’s very successful three axle radial truck (HTC-R truck), for which design he holds several patents.
Dr. Shauck is recognized as a world leader and pioneer in the development of ethanol fueled aircraft. In September 1980 Dr. Shauck began developing modifications enabling aircraft to use ethanol as a fuel. His first flight on ethanol was made in February 1981. Since that time, ten aircraft have been modified and flown on ethanol. Dr Shauck made his first ethanol powered airshow flight in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in 1983. Over 4,000 hours of flying time on ethanol have been accumulated by Dr. Shauck and members of his team in the United States, Canada, Brazil, Portugal, Spain, France and Italy. Aerobatic demonstration flights by Dr. Shauck in aircraft powered by ethanol have been flown in the U. S., Brazil, Italy and France.
